Benefits of Joining

Minimize
One thing that sets Mothers & More apart from all other mothers’ organizations is our focus on educating ourselves, other mothers and the general public about the external forces that affect mothers as a group and how those forces impact each one of us as individuals: our personal identity and self-esteem; our participation in volunteer work, civic involvement and paid work; our personal relationships and our personal economic health and security. We seek to help mothers make the connection between their personal lives and choices, and the social and cultural factors that impact them.
Members enjoy benefits at both a local and national level.
Local chapter benefits:
  • Monthly Meetings -- An outlet for moms to relax and meet new people while educating ourselves as we focus on topics related to Personal Identity, Career Path/Paid/Volunteer Work, Personal Relationships, and Financial Literacy.
  • Mom's Night Out -- Activities include dinner out with the gals, pedicures & manicures, game night (Bunco), and dinner theater.
  • Kid's Activities -- Monthly events for mom and her children.
  • Special Events -- Anniversary party, Mother's Day Tea
  • Community Outreach Projects -- Adopt a Family, Preschool Open House
  • Playgroups – Chapter playgroups at local parks and indoor facilities where kids can have fun and moms can connect with other moms
  • Leadership Opportunities-- keep your skills updated and/or learn new skills by volunteering
At the national level:
  • The Forum - a unique bi-monthly publication focusing on work and family issues, survival techniques for life at home and in the workplace, ideas for personal enrichment, book reviews, author interviews and other subjects of interest to sequencing women.
  • Online services - an interactive international Web site with a variety of members-only services such as e-mail loops, online chats, message boards, a calendar of events, and timely news and information. (Click here to visit the web site of our national organization).
